Systems Support Engineer / Team Leader

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 + Benefits

Location: Birmingham City Centre, West Midlands

Role Summary:

As a Systems Support Engineer / Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure of over 35 end users for this Insurance Provider in Birmingham City centre. This is a ‘hands on’ IT infrastructure support role where you will be solely responsible for the IT support of the company and supervise 2 members of staff. This is an exciting place to work with varied and challenging projects with great prospects.

Skills Required:

Strong Active Directory and VPN trouble shooting skills to external customers
More than 4 years IT network infrastructure support commercial background MCSE, MCP or CCA accredited MS Windows Server Engineer
Experience working within a small company with sole responsibility for providing internal support to end users
Windows client operating systems (XP/Vista/7/8/10) Administration & Deployment
Windows PC based applications (MS Office suite etc.) deployment and troubleshooting
Mail configuration including POP, IMAP, SMTP
Exchange 2003-2012 Administration & Deployment
SMTP troubleshooting & diagnosis
Active Directory
Backup and restoration of data within Windows infrastructures
TCP/IP networking knowledge
Good telephone manor and problem solving skills
